2D1N Forest Insects & Waterfall

  • 1 - 10 persons

Overview

This 2D1N eco-adventure brings you deep into the lush foothills of Mount Salak and the misty forests of Mount Halimun. It’s a journey designed for nature lovers who enjoy slow, immersive exploration: walking along quiet rice fields, spotting soil insects up close, learning simple eco-trapping techniques, and chasing the cool spray of a hidden waterfall.

During the day, you’ll walk through shaded jungle trails where cicadas buzz, tiny beetles crawl under rotting logs, and mushrooms bloom after rain. At night, the forest transforms into a different world — glowing fireflies drift between the trees, crickets sing in waves, and nocturnal critters come out to feed. This trip gives you a full picture of the ecosystem: what lives on the soil, under the soil, and above it.

With friendly local guides and an eco-interpreter by your side, the experience is safe, educational, and perfect for curious travelers.

  1. Laura & Ben

The Birdwatching Tour at Mount Salak was absolutely incredible! We spotted so many species, including the Javan Hawk-Eagle and the beautiful Javan Kingfisher. The guide was super knowledgeable and patient, helping us identify each bird with ease. The binoculars provided were high quality, and the setting—lush rainforest and peaceful rice fields—was just perfect. It felt like stepping into a living paradise for bird lovers. Thank you, Edu and the Java Private Tour team, for this unforgettable experience!
